WHERE ARE WE LIVING?
May His Spirit breathe fresh wind and fresh fire to your heart today. The one whose heart is open, let him listen carefully to what the Spirit is saying now to the Ekklesia. Revelation 3:22
I was recently prompted by God to read Isaiah 34, a heavy, gloomy chapter in which He judges the nations. The Lord will stretch out over it a measuring line of chaos and the plumb line of emptiness. It will be named No Kingdom There, and all its rulers and princes will come to nothing. Isaiah 34:11-12 TPT
Feeling depressed when I finished reading, I heard the Lord say, You think this is where the world is living today—in gloom and judgment. But keep reading. You are actually living in Isaiah 35—the day when My beautiful bride-church comes up out of the wilderness to shine in all the radiance of her glory. My Ekklesia is rising above the chaos and emptiness to bring hope and healing to the nations, to strengthen those who are discouraged, to energize those who feel defeated, to say to the anxious and fearful, “Be strong and never afraid. Look, here comes your God!”
I AM coming.
And when I come,
the desert blossoms!
The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom . . . Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped . . . A highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness . . . Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
Isaiah 35:1,5,8,10 NIV
Lord, we open your Word in Isaiah 35 and wait in joyous hope for the new things you are revealing to your Ekklesia for this Kingdom era. Amen.
