Many in the kingdom of God are saying—This is a true Passover and a different kind of Easter than we have seen before!

Are you sensing this as well?
Events in the spiritual realm are closely connected with what is happening in the natural realm. And so, we who believe in Christ approach Easter Sunday with a revised framework and capacity to see His journey to the Cross and the power of His resurrection in a whole new way.

The tsunami of a global pandemic, the deadly threat of an unknown illness, forced isolation around the world, disruption at all levels of human affairs—its almost impossible to process! But then, there is God who pulls back the veil between heaven and earth to allow us to see into the unseen clash of crowns in the heavenly realm through the lens of resurrection.

We invite you to reflect and meditate on this unique Passover-Easter through a series of questions that arise on the way to the empty tomb. The answers to these questions are not meant to come from other voices or scripture but from your own heart and conversation with the Lord.

The child asks at the Passover Seder table—
Why is this night different than all other nights?

Jesus at the Passover dinner
Do you understand what I have done for you? John 13:12

Will you really lay down your life for me? John 13:38

When Jesus says, One of you will betray me. And later, All of you will desert me—
Surely not I, Lord? Mark14:19, 27

Jesus to His disciples in Gethsemane—
Are you still sleeping?

Could you not keep watch with me for one hour? Mark 14:37

To the soldiers who come to arrest Him—
Who is it you want? Who are you looking for? John 18:4,7

To Peter—
Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me? John 18:11

Pilate to Jesus—
Are you the King of the Jews? Mark 15:2

What is the truth? John 18:38

Pilate to the crowd—
What shall I do with Jesus who is called the Christ? Matthew 27:32

Jesus from the cross—
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Mark 15:34

When Jesus meets Mary at the empty tomb and she does not recognize him—
Dear woman, why are you crying?

Who is it that you are looking for? John 20:15

Mary, still unable to recognize Jesus—
What have you done with Him? from John 20:15

Then Jesus gently speaks her name—Mary—and suddenly she sees him for who he is!

Hear Jesus tenderly say your name as you stand with him beside the empty tomb—Your Name.
