Three times in the story of Esther’s campaign to save the Jewish people from Haman’s evil plan to destroy them, she appeals to the King. And three times he answers her.

Queen Esther, what is your petition? It will be given you. What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom—it will be granted. 3:6, 7:2, 9:12

Ester exposes the man responsible for planning the annihilation of her people. 
The adversary and enemy is this vile Haman. 7:6

Though Haman is summarily hanged on the gallows he built for Mordecai, the evil edict stands. The irrevocable decree has already been published throughout the kingdom, so the threat remains. Again, Esther appeals to the King to overrule the genocidal decree. So the King tells Queen Esther and Mordecai –

Now write another decree in the king’s name in behalf of the Jews, as seems best to you, and seal it with the king’s signet ring—for no document written in the king’s name and sealed with his ring can be revoked.
 
In other words—rewrite the edict!
 
The new edict gave Jews throughout the land the right to assemble and protect themselves—to destroy, kill and annihilate any armed force of any nationality or province that attacked them and their women and children, and to plunder the property of their enemies.

The power of decrees, written or spoken, can be used to overrule the plans, edicts and decrees of the enemy. So, what are you waiting for? Start making decrees that turn the tables on the enemy.  Write the edict that returns the schemes of the wicked back on their own heads.
 
Decree and counter-decree.

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13

Even up to half the kingdom, He will give you. But you must ask.

If the wicked decree of Haman stands, how much more will your decree made in the name of Jesus stand?

What kind of decrees might be used to counter the plans of the enemy?

What kind of decrees would be keeping with what the Father is doing?


What evil decrees do you wish to overwrite, overrule or overturn? The King calls upon you this day to rewrite the edict that is poised against your people. Write it down and run with it.
