Sitting with Jesus, I find myself in a fragrant field of orange and purple flowers, enraptured by the scent and sight of His Creation glory. Suddenly the scene shifts and we are standing on the crest of a large sand dune that is stark and shockingly devoid of life and fragrance.

Drawing a deep breath, Jesus let’s me know that my fragrance is His delight!

Each of us is a fragrant garden to God. He is always at work in the soil of our lives, taking great delight in the seeds, roots, and flowering plants growing within us.

I am reminded of Exodus 30:34-38 where God instructs Moses to make a perfume, a fragrant and most holy scent for their place of meeting. The fragrance we carry is holy to the Lord and a benefit to others.

Thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.  2 Corinthians 15-16

Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to be your perfumer?

In what way are you the aroma of Christ to others?

How do you celebrate and partner with God’s work in the garden of your life?

How might opening to the prophetic truths of God be a blessing to those around you?
