STAGGERING GIANT

May His Spirit breathe fresh wind and fresh fire to your heart today. The one whose heart is open, let him listen carefully to what the Spirit is saying now to the Ekklesia. Revelation 3:22

In a dream I saw a giant seated on a chair. He appeared to be groggy, perhaps even drugged, as he struggled to stand. Several times he managed to get part way up, but he kept falling back into the chair.

A nearby crowd of onlookers was booing and cursing, fearing the giant would finally stand. After an intense struggle he made it to his feet, but he staggered all about trying to keep his balance and steady his walk.

The crowd became increasingly agitated and terrified, even though the giant was teetering and looked as if he wouldn’t remain upright. Their resistance grew louder and more violent as they cursed and goaded him to fall.

Though the crowd’s fear was palpable, I didn’t feel afraid and I didn’t want to join them. I wanted the giant to stand, but I didn’t know why. Then I noticed a small segment of the crowd cheering for and urging the giant to stand up and stand tall. I asked, “Lord should I join them?”

Yes! the Lord replied. The staggering giant is my church today.

She is struggling and unsteady in the wake of troubled times. The unrelenting assault of the enemy has left her weakened, disoriented and confused. Even though she’s off balance, the forces of darkness are afraid she will make it to her feet. They’re doing everything in their power to keep her down.

I need My remnant to stand up and take authority! Stand up in the face of the resistance! Rally my church to stand up and proclaim truth. Stand up and keep standing!

You have taught us hard lessons
and made us drink the wine of bewilderment.
You have given miraculous signs
to those who love you.
As we follow you we fly the flag of truth,
and all who love the truth will rally to it.
Psalm 60:3-4 TPT

Lord, how do you want me to stand?
