REGENESIS!

In a world that has made God so small, sin so inconsequential, and the cross so irrelevant to life and wellness, is it any wonder that forgiveness has become all but obsolete—not only in the world but in the church?

But what if we’ve got it all wrong. What if the cross is in fact the axis of power on which our lives turn, by which we are saved, and through which we live, move and have our being!

Father, forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. Matthew 6:12 NLT

Have you considered the cruciform structure of the Lord’s Prayer and its glorious centerpiece?

First the vertical axis of power that aligns us with God—Father, forgive us our sin, debt and trespasses. . .

In tandem with the horizontal axis of power that keeps us rightly connected to one another—AS we have forgiven the sin, debt and trespasses of others against us.

Here we see the power inherent in the cross, and the forgiveness and resurrection life that flow from it. This is the dynamic interchange from heaven to earth and from earth to heaven—that keeps us rightly aligned with the kingdom of God.

Forgiveness is the power of the cross, activated in our lives!

Where do you have unfinished forgiveness business?

Are you ready to take in to the cross so you can go through the cross to freedom?

Regenesis—
growing
in the fullness of Christ,
one forgiveness encounter at a time.
