• IGNORING THE BATTLE — WAR ROOM #3

    Are you battle ready?

We would rather not think about it, talk about it or engage in it, but the fact remains—God’s word says we are at war with a powerful enemy.

Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser! Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. Ephesians 6:11-12

Demons. Evil spirits. Principalities. They make us want to run and hide. Sadly, much of the church has done just that! But Paul’s message here doesn’t say Put on God’s complete armor in case you have to fight. He says arm up so that you will be protected as you fight. It’s a given. You have to go to war!

Ignoring the reality of spiritual warfare isn’t helping God’s people establish His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Nor is it helping us live in the authority and abundance that belong to us in Christ. The first rule of basic military strategy is You can’t defeat an enemy you can’t (or won’t) identify.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

In what ways are you ignoring the battle?

In what ways are you engaging?

What is keeping you from trusting God to provide for and protect you in battle? Or to trust Christ in you to show you where to stand?

If you know your enemy and know yourself,
you can fight a hundred battles without disaster.
