There is great peace and wellbeing that comes to the lovers of your word, and nothing can make them stumble. Psalm 119:165

Are your peace and wellbeing under attack—

Panic in the stock market
Poisonous politics
Public paranoia

The people in Jesus’ day undoubtably felt under attack as well. They lived under Roman occupation, paid onerous taxes to the Roman government and religious authorities, and faced the kind of sickness and disease that flourish in the absence of the kind of resources we enjoy today.

They were searching for someone. Someone to listen with compassion to their heart cries. Someone who would heal their disease. Someone to rescue and restore. They awaited an advocate, Deliverer and Savior in the storm.

Then Jesus came! He entered in and walked among them—healing the sick, restoring their sense of safety and security, offering hope for a bright tomorrow.

Are you searching for Someone today?
Someone to restore your sense of confidence and wellbeing in these turbulent times?
Someone to offer hope for a bleak-looking future?

The Living Word came and stayed and walks among us today. Are you actively on the lookout for Him? Spending time just being with Him? Shoring up your shaken faith and shattered peace with His life-giving promises instead?

If present circumstances are stealing your peace and causing you to stumble, look to His Word. Lean in to His love message to you—sent not in a bottle but in the person of Jesus Christ, the Living Word.

For the word of God is alive and active.
Hebrews 4:12 NIV

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Psalm 119:105 NIV

Where today are you struggling to find peace and wellbeing?

In what ways have you found comfort and direction in God’s word?

What promises of God can you find in His word to offer hope and direction in present circumstances?
